14 tips for a glowing skin
Contrarily to what the fashion magazines, or TV will have you believe, nobody or at least almost nobody, is lucky enough to have smooth, clear skin naturally. But with a little work and a few suggestions (offered here) added to your daily routine we can all improve and get the perfect skin we all yearn for.

For a great complexion it is necessary to wash the face preferably morning and night with the right kind of product for your skin.
2. Use product that are hydrated and adapted to your skin type.
To find out what type of skin you have try the tissue test. Wash your face as you would normally but do not apply any make up or lotion of any kind. Wait 15 minutes then place a tissue (kleenex) on your face, press gently but do not rub. Your skin is dry if the Kleenex is perfectly dry, it is oily if the tissue is permeated and a mixed type if there are marks on the median line of the nose, forehead and chin.
3. At the end of the day before washing your face, remove all makeup thoroughly even if you only use a very light makeup. This will help in eliminating all the impurities accumulated during the day.
4. Avoid washing with very hot water as it dries the skin and alter ph balance. Cold water will help you wake up and give you a younger firmer looking skin.
5. Drink a lot of water, at least 6 cups a day, it will help you get rid of toxin and will brighten your complexion.
6. Limit your consumption of alcohol as it dries the skin and gives it a dull and dry appearance. Furthermore alcohol speeds up aging of the skin.
No makeup remover? use whole milk to remove makeup, apply with a cotton ball.
7. Watch your diet, a diet that is rich in vegetables and fruit is preferred to a diet high on fats.
8.If you have acne don’t squeeze your pimples, not only is it painful, but you are risking an infection on other areas of the face, and you might end up with scars or spots that will be hard to remove.
9. Keep your hands out of your face. Hands frequently carry germs which can cause redness or itching. Not what you need on your face.
10. Avoid prolonged times in the sun, when you have to be in the sun wear a hat to protect your face, or use a high SPF sunblock.
11. Choose good quality cosmetics. Don’t be afraid to try several brands before you find what works for you. Your skin will be the best judge.
12. Skin requires a different treatment according to the seasons, adapt accordingly.
13. Use makeup sparingly (particularly during the day). Good makeup, well applied will look better and allow the skin to breathe.
14. What to do if you put too much makeup on? Pour a small amount of hydrating lotion in your hands, rub your hands together to warm the lotion, apply on your face. The make will be hydrated and lightened.
