Brunch at Tiffany’s: Pearls are a Must

by GuestPoster

Like any good southern girl, I inherited a strand of white round pearls from my mother.  I’ve worn my South Carolina signature through years of socialite events.   I’ve taken them along while sipping sweet tea vodka at many a frat party, painting the walls of my new apartment, and walking across the stage at several graduations. Through all of this they’ve grown a little worn. If I have any hopes of handing them down to my own daughter, they’re in dire need of a stand-in. Though the south runs through my blood, I do have enough Yankee in me to dream of standing in Manhattan, exactly where classy Audrey Hepburn once did, and choosing a replacement strand. And yes, though Tiffany’s brings to mind diamonds, slews and slews of beautiful diamonds, experts in jewelry since the late 1800′s, Tiffany & Co does far more. More including strands of round pearls I might just love too much to hand over to any offspring.

Diamonds, Tiffany, and gold already being synonymous, to my mind, adding round pearls into the mix would only improve the brand. For good southern girls, this is undeniably true. Though the brand recently failed to successfully launch a separate endeavor devoted solely to a line of pearls, the delicate strands of Tiffany’s gold, round pearls, and diamonds, are still successfully inspiring pocketbooks and wallets to turn themselves inside out all over the world. I find it hard to believe that bad timing and the poor economy were the only reasons for the lackluster start, as diamonds are truly a girl’s best friend. Regardless, as Tiffany gold has design, quality, and delicacy that only Cartier can come close to, I fully intend on heading down 5th Avenue later this year and purchasing a little blue box.  My bare neck and my credit card stand waiting.
