Comcast cable price list offers a choice of selections that depend on your needs. If you are served by Comcast cable, you probably want to take a close look at the packages they offer before jumping in and signing up with them. Their main offer of course is cable television service, but there are additional products you can select. Their high speed internet service is competitive in speed with DSL, as is their home phone service. Where you may want to look closely is at the bottom line, as Comcast cable is generally regarded as one of the higher priced cable companies. Lets look at their main two triple play products – the Starter XF bundle and the HD Preferred Plus bundle.
The Comcast Cable Starter XF is the entry level triple play package. This offer is best for those who want all three triple play services from their cable provider, but don’t need the top tiers when looking at cable and internet access. You will get around 80 Comcast TV channels with this package, plus free On-demand. The internet access is either 6 Mbps or 12 Mbps depending on availability. The final piece to this package is the Comcast digital voice service, which includes unlimited local and long distance access. Pricing is $99 per month, for the first year.
The HD Preferred Plus triple play includes everything in the starter package, plus more. Over 160 channels are included, including multiple feeds of HBO and Starz. The internet speeds are either 8 Mbps or 16 Mbps, and again long distance calling is included. This XF triple play package runs about $140 per month, for the first year, and then goes to $155 during the second year. After that you will be charged regular Comcast prices.
While these prices do seem fairly high, you have to compare them to what you would pay for phone and internet from your telecom carrier, plus your satellite TV bill. Generally, the price comes out the same or a bit higher, so Comcast cable may work out as the best option for you.
