Liposuction and Laser Fat Removal

by Heath Watch

There are liposuction surgeons who specialize in peculiar procedures or other procedures that require a very specific skill. Laser liposuction is one technique that almost every plastic surgeon who performs liposuction would like to get into because it is very popular. It allows for much better detailing of the treatment area and aims to cause much less damage to the surrounding tissue.

Liposuction, sometimes known as liposculpture is a type of procedure that involves the removing of fat using suction and in doing so contours the parts of the body that are treated. Despite the fact that no variety of liposuction should be a replacement for exercise and a good diet, it is a good way to remove fat that is difficult to reach through traditional weight loss strategies like exercising regularly and eating well. Some of these areas are bony and traditional liposuction would be too crude of a technique to treat these areas. Procedures like ankle liposuction are now possible with new laser techniques.

Not like standard liposuction, laser lipolysis doesn’t make use of suction. Instead of this, the small, hollow instrument known as the cannula holding a laser will be inserted into the area of the body and utilized to turn the fat cells to liquid. After this process all the liquefied areas of fat are removed from the patient’s body through little tiny incisions.

Laser fat removal is easier and leaves less scarring than a traditional method. The doctor can shape your body with the small cannula and a sophisticated laser, that produces accurate body contouring and also help with tightening of the skin. With this method no suturing is needed, and scars are miniscule. But the small incision offers more than minimal risk of scaring. There is also a greatly reduced risk of infection and other problems that are associated with surgeries in general.
