Solving the Cellulite Problem

in Beauty,Skin Care

cure-celluliteOf all the skin problems a woman can have, cellulite is the most stubborn to find a solution for. This is mainly because the cause of the condition happens underneath the skin where thick fibrous bands hold the fat together. When these bands become hard, they pull down on the skin to create dimples. Bumps are caused by excess fat bulging from their cells as the toughened bands pushing them together. The hardening of the bands and the increase in fat levels can have a number of causes including age, excess weight, diet and unhealthy lifestyle habits.

There is a number of remedies for cellulite but not all are known to be effective and some are down right rip offs. Last year, over two hundred new anti-cellulite products where released. The most controversial was a pantyhose marketed as being able to reduce the appearance of cellulite just by wearing them. Such strange and often expensive products abound in the anti-cellulite market and it is no wonder that many women are skeptical – and even fed up – with the marketing spin.

While justified, the skepticism is unfortunate as there are effective treatments in reducing the appearance of cellulite. I say ‘appearance’ because no method can truly remove the condition. What they can do however, is offer temporary improvement in the way the skin looks.

The majority of treatment methods involve some sort of massaging of the tissue. For example, the Verseo Roller Cell Massage System cellulite treatment is a small hand held device that is used to massage the skin and flesh to help flatten out the bumps and lumps. An even more effectual massage method is offered many beauty therapists around the country and involves large, powerful machines that massage the hips, thighs and buttocks.

Mesotherapy for cellulite reduction is an invasive method and involves the injecting of a special solution into the fat under the skin. This is a controversial treatment and does involve higher risks due to it invasive nature. However, many women swear by this approach.

All these treatments will require sessions to maintain results. This is because they can only temporarily improve the look of the condition. How many sessions you will need depends on the individual but many women think a small amount of money and time committed is worthwhile in the battle against cellulite.
