The Art of Brewing Blooming Tea

For thousands years, tea has been the drink of choice of many peoples all around the world. It was and still is considered as one of the finest and richest drinks, often denoting class and social standing, a brew that also offers numerous health benefits. Tea is next only to water in the amount in which it is consumed by peoples of the globe annually.

With the introduction of the Blooming teas, traditional tea brewing has taken on a new and exquisitely beautiful art form.  To the Chinese Tea preparation has always been treated as an ancient work of art. However the imaginative innovation of a Blooming tea has brought the underappreciated aesthetic qualities of tea brewing to the attention of the western world and encouraged tea lovers there to more completely appreciate the true beauty and artistry of tea brewing that the Chinese have themselves appreciated for centuries. However blooming tea is not as ancient an art form as the tea houses would like us to believe. Blooming or Flowering tea is only of recent development. It was first created in China around the beginning of the 1980s and was most commonly called a display tea in that it was at that time only for entertainment value it was not created with tea leaves of good enough quality to be able to drink. However when it was imported to western tea lovers blooming tea bundles started to be produced with good quality green and white teas that were intended for consumption.
